Junior Church

Junior Church welcomes children from the ages of 3 to 12 and takes place at the same time as the 9.30 Sunday Service in Church.
Please bring your children to the Parish Centre by 9.20 so they can be settled and you have time to get into church for the start of the service.
Children rejoin their parents in the main service before Communion.

Sunday Crèche

The crèche gives parents of young children aged from 0-3 years the opportunity to attend a Sunday service without their child, and to worship uninterrupted. The children return to church shortly before communion.

Tea and Tales

‘Tea and Tales’ is on Tuesday afternoons in term time.
It is for all young children, aimed at the four to seven year olds, but also to be enjoyed by those a bit younger or a bit older and their mums and dads, grandparents and carers.
It starts with a short service in church at about 3.30pm (straight after school) with songs and stories.
We then go to the Parish Centre for a drink and biscuits. We finish by about 4.15pm.

St George's Toddlers

This group meets every Thursday (during term time) from 1.30 pm – 3.15 pm. It is open to all mums, dads, grandparents and carers with young children .
While the children play with toys, mums chat over a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits.

Coffee Break

If you enjoy a cuppa and a chat then join us for 'Coffee Break'. We meet in the Parish Centre each Wednesday morning from 10.45 - 11.45.

Rock Solid Core

A youth group called THE CORE using Rock Solid material produced by Youth for Christ is now active. Children from Year 6 upwards attend. Volunteers to help run this group are vital and all offers of help are welcome.

The Choir

The choir assists with the singing during services on Sunday mornings and evenings. All ages, boys and girls, men and women are welcome to join.
Choir Practice is on Thursday evenings at 7.15 pm.

Serving Team

The serving team assists the priests during the services. Anyone interested in becoming a server will be very welcome.

Mother’s Union

The aim of the MU is to support families in times of joy, difficulty and distress. We have 30 members. Anybody is welcome to come along to our meetings which take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 1.45 pm.

The Guild undertakes to pray regularly for the sick and for the bereaved.

6th Altrincham (St George’s) Beaver Colony

Under the watchful eyes of two Leaders and two young helpers, 15 boys play games, perform challenges, do badge work and a variety of craft activities. For more information or if you would like to help please get in touch.

Friends of Altrincham Parish Church, St George’s

A registered charity, whose aim is to assist the PCC with the cost of maintenance of the fabric of St. George’s Church, which is a Grade II listed building.
The on-going need for repair and maintenance means that we are keen to recruit more members.
Individual membership costs £10 per year, and this can be increased in value through Gift Aid. Please consider becoming a member. We thank all members for their support.

Flower Guild

The Flower Guild arranges flowers that enhance worship and special ceremonies e.g. weddings, at St. George’s.

Church Cleaning

St George’s is cleaned by a group of ‘non-stipendiary’ volunteers, mostly mature ladies and one or two even more mature men! We need more hands to make light of the work. Please join us.

The Reading Group meets every four to six weeks. Members accept the challenge presented to them of choosing and then reading a very eclectic selection of books.

Altrincham Church of England Aided Primary School

Altrincham C of E (Aided) Primary School is a popular school serving the three parishes of St George's, St John's and St Margaret's. It was judged 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in 2008.
