Easter Sunday is the highlight of the Christian year — a day of joy, hope, and celebration as we remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And here at St George’s, we truly pull out all the stops to mark this special occasion.
From the moment you stepped through the door, the church was bursting with life and colour. Our incredible Flower Guild worked their magic once again, filling the building with stunning arrangements, bamboo sticks with delicate flowers, and providing hundreds of daffodils for our much-loved Easter cross — a powerful symbol of new life.
The atmosphere was lifted even further by our wonderful choir, who had been rehearsing for months in preparation. Their music added so much beauty and meaning to the service, helping us all to reflect and rejoice together.
And of course, we couldn’t forget the joyful moment at the end — when the confetti cannons filled the air and marked the occasion with a bang (we’ll be finding it for months!). It was a truly memorable celebration.
We were so glad to celebrate Easter with so many of you, and we’d love to welcome you back again soon. There’s always something going on in the life of our church — come and be a part of it!
