Come and be part of our Good Friday Three Hours at the Cross (12 noon–3.00pm), as we pause to reflect on the final hours of Jesus' life and the hope found in his death.

This year we are delighted to welcome Rev. Jenny Bridgeman as our guest speaker. Jenny serves as Director of Ministry for the Diocese of Chester, where she helps oversee the formation, support and ongoing development of clergy and lay ministers across the diocese. Alongside her diocesan role, she is a self-supporting parish priest with many years of experience in parish ministry (including our neighbouring Parish of Timperley), spiritual direction and pastoral supervision. She is also completing doctoral research in Practical Theology, exploring ministerial power, trauma-informed ministry and healthier church culture.

As we spend time at the foot of the cross, Jenny will help us reflect on a question that is both timeless and deeply relevant:

What does it look like to use power and authority well?

In a world where power is so often misused, Good Friday reveals a very different kind of authority - one shaped not by force or self-interest, but by humility, sacrifice and self-giving love. Together, we'll explore what Jesus' example means for our own lives, relationships and discipleship today.

Whether you are able to stay for the whole Three Hours or simply join us for part of the afternoon (some stay for 15 minutes, others for 30, and a sizable few for the whole time!), you will be very warmly welcome as we journey together through one of the most profound days of the Christian year.
