Children and families at St George's Church
A Church where everyone can be involved and play their part New Here?We are a welcoming, multi-generational church community
where children and teenagers are very welcome
and have an important part to play in the life of St George’s!
Pregnancy to Pre-School
For some of us, pregnancy and early parenthood is everything we’ve dreamed of.
For some of us, those early years are hard, isolating and more demanding than we expected,
and most of us fall between the two.
Here at St George’s we have a range of groups where you can be real, honest, find & give support, and make friends along the way.
Come and be part of them – they are open to everyone, regardless of whether you ‘do’ church or not.
EYFS to KS1
Those early years of nursery and school can be quite the juggling act!
Here at St George’s there are groups for you to be part of that both allow your children to explore their faith, have fun
and for you to get support and make friends along the way too.
KS2
As your child makes their way through school, there are a number of groups that they can find a home in.
Children’s Choir
We are delighted to be starting up a new Children’s Choir ‘Altrincham Trebles’ held in school on a Tuesday afternoon: in other words, we’re offering free musical tuition that will last your child a lifetime!
Junior Church & Toddler Session
We believe that a relationship with Christ is for everyone, regardless of our age and stage.
Junior Church is for our children to explore their faith in fun and creative ways
and make lots of new friends along the way!
Scouting Groups
We’re so delighted to have a thriving Scouting section – and so proud of what they do!
Whether it’s Beavers, Cubs or Scouts, we hope that all the young people involved have a great time as they develop fantastic friends and have many adventures along the way!
Parent Talk

Youth: Pathway
A week can be a long time in education! So on a Friday night, St George’s have started a new Youth Group in partnership with Youth For Christ.
It is a space for young people to drop in at the end of the week.
With pizzas and games this is a great space to make friends and let off some steam before heading into the weekend.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
In an age where we are ever conscious about our world’s resources,
St George’s is delighted to host a School Uniform Clothes Bank for Altrincham Primary School.
Open every morning during the school run, do pop in either to drop off uniform that no-longer fits, or find an item that you need.

Not one but two Carol Services!
What a wonderful weekend! This weekend was afull of carol services, each with a different vibe, but each one equally special and poignant. We started off on Saturday with our Carols by Candlelight. This is our big, traditional service where we pull out all the stops!...
A Pop-Up Nativity followed by a party!
A stunning, candlelit church, not one but two (!) donkeys and a stage set for all who wanted to be part of the Nativity to come and join in! And what a lovely service it was! A Pop-Up Nativity is a type of Nativity Play/Service where we invite people – young and old –...
A Christmas Ceilidh!
Fun, laughter and lots, and lots, of cheese! Despite the appalling weather, the warm Parish Room was transformed into a twinkling haven as all ages and stages gathered together to dance and chat the gloomy night away! Here at St George’s, we’ve been exploring ways to...
