Church Walk, Altrincham WA14 4TT| Sunday services @ 8am & 9:30am
How do I get there?
Where can we find you?
Our address is:
St George’s Church
Church Street
Altrincham
Greater Manchester
WA14 4DB
We are right in the heart of Altrincham Town Centre – just at the top of the T-Junction where the A560 meets with the A56. We are opposite the Cresta Court Hotel.
Coming by public transport?
We are close to Altrincham Train, Tram and Bus Station which is located in the centre of town – allow for 5-10 mins to walk to St George’s.
Parking mid-week, term time
During the working day, in term time, there is a small council run car park directly in front of St George’s where you can park for free for 2 hours .
Other parking is mainly to be found either on the side streets, or, for a small charge, at the Stamford Quarter Car Park (WA14 1RH).
Parking on a Sunday & mid week outside of school hours
On a Sunday, and outside of school hours, you can park in front of the Parish Centre which can be found by driving down the cobbled Albert Place in between the pubs The Orange Tree & The Old Market Tavern, then right into Church Walk (WA14 4DB).
If that is full, then we are thankful to our neighbours, Altrincham Primary School, for allowing us to use their staff car park, and, for our big services, the playground too. You can find them at the top of Townfield Rd, Altrincham, WA14 4DS.
A small video showing you how to find us!
Dee, our children & families lead, & Josie, our Ordinand show you some of the landmarks when you head to St George’s!
Coming to the OSB (Old School Building)?
Dee, our children & families lead, did this short video as she launched a new group showing you how to get to the OSB👇
A variety of maps!
We hope that one of these maps is helpful,
particularly if you’re not a fan of Sat Nav!
Express, grow and explore your faith
We are a welcoming community of faith that seeks to honour the traditions of the church in a way that revives, refreshes and equips us for our life in the present, and helps guides us for the opportunities & challenges of the future.
About St George's Church
Our faith matters to us – whether for some of us are just exploring what faith might mean, or for those us all who have been on this journey for year, we try and allow our faith to infiltrate our week ahead. So as a church, we also seek to provide space for our community to meet, make friends, and, especially this year, enjoy some warmth, hot drinks and food.
