Midweek groups at St George's Church

A Church where everyone can be involved and play their part
New Here?

It’s wonderful to meet and worship together on a Sunday morning, but the impact of our faith goes far beyond our Sunday Services.

In the week, we meet up with people both from church and our community;
so do come and be part of our mid-week groups, regardless of whether you ‘do’ church or not.

School Run Cuppa

The school run can be exhausting when you are trying to get children out of the house in one piece!

So every morning in term time, St George’s is delighted to open the door of their Vicarage for a hot drink, biscuits, a space to regroup and make friends along the way!

Small children are very welcome (we have a few toys too) but you do need to stay with them at all times.

Coffee Break

A week can be a long one when you do not have people to talk to.

Come along to this friendly group that meets in St George’s Vicarage for a hot drink, biscuits and a chance to meet new friends and catch up with old ones.

Be part of this group as they chat about what’s going on and, at times, put the world to rights!

Knit & Natter

This group is open to all ages and stages!

Do you like to knit? Perfect! Come and be part of it.

Do you want to learn how to knit? Perfect! Come and be part of it.

Is knitting really not your thing, but you’d like a hot drink and a place to natter?! Perfect! Come and be part of it!

Thursday Soup Lunch

Held from November-March,  this friendly community gathers week for their weekly treat of fabulous soup (with a bit of cheese & crusty bread too!). It’s free, it’s friendly and in a perfect ‘home-from-home’ space in the Vicarage.

Parlez-Vous Francais?!

Want to continue/start speaking French?

Women’s Group

Come along to the Vicarage for this relaxed and friendly group of women.

Be refreshed with hot drinks and biscuits, and make some new friends along the way.

Exploring Faith

If you’d like to explore faith, from whatever level that may be, we have a number of different groups that run during the year that would love you to be part of them!

Confirmations!

Confirmations!

What a celebration to end an academic year! Every year we hold a confirmation service, and this year was one of our busiest ones yet! Christenings (or Baptisms - same thing - just a different word when you get older!) are part of a two stage rite - the first is...
